“Going to Lake Michigan, or the "Third Coast" is like visiting a freshwater ocean. You can enjoy the water without fear of dangerous ocean predators the waves are fun and the views are spectacular! Depending on which beach or town you pick, It takes 45 minutes to an hour to get to public beaches at Michigan City or Chesterton, IN, or New Buffalo or St. Joe Michigan. These towns have many fun shops and restaurants as well as beaches. Warren Dunes State Park, in Sawyer, Michigan is 45 minutes away and is just purely beach and sand dunes with Tower Hill being a fun local attraction and a challenge to climb!”
