This is a hands-on interactive experience, and our piggies LOVE belly rubs and neck scratches!! Ask any questions you may have, or simply enjoy getting to know all of our animals. We will begin our classes with teaching everyone how to make pasta from scratch: ravioli, spaghetti, tagliatelle! We provide also a vegan alternative with dough without eggs. You will learn how to do 3 types of long pasta, 3 of short, and 4 different kind of ravioli. You can take this knowledge with you to your own kitchen with a copy of our recipes for you. You will help us free fly our falcons on the cliffs of La Jolla at the Torrey Pines Gliderport, a National Historical Place and beloved landmark. In our Experience, offered through Total Raptor Experience San Diego, you'll learn how to call and release one of our trained birds using a falconry glove, and admire their aerial skills while they soar above the cliffs. You'll get an up-close and personal view of their mastery of flight as they perform simulated hunting behaviors, swooping, ground-skimming and diving at high speed after a moving target. At the same time we will discuss raptor flight styles and how they contribute to the diverse ecologies of different types of hawks and falcons. There will be plenty of time for questions and pictures with our birds. My hope is to send you home with a new, or perhaps renewed, love for these majestic predators and the environment. La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year-round, and is famous for its Sea Caves and Marine Reserve. No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists, we will help push your kayak through any breakers. As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life. If conditions are safe, we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. If it's not safe to enter Emerald Cave, we will still paddle out & explore La Jolla's World-Famous Marine Reserve. Join us in the barn and pasture for farm animal fun at Adobe Acres Ranch! You will get to pet, feed, brush, and take selfies with our herd of happy farm animals and get to learn what it's like having miniature potbellied pigs, goats, sheep, miniature donkeys, and chickens for the evening during this farm adventure! The guided Farm Visit is approximately 1hr long and will start in the pasture with our four miniature pigs (such an oxymoron, though! They're still pretty big!) where you can add food to their bowls and watch them chow down... as you can imagine pigs do :) Then, we will tour the west barn and see their night enclosures where we will touch on the topic of backcountry animal husbandry and answer any questions you have about caring for farm animals. The barn leads into an open pasture where you will have the chance to feed, pet, brush, and take awesome photos with our two miniature donkeys, two pygmy goats, and maybe even our two shy sheep (they're... well, sheepish is a good way to put it! Ha!). You also have the option to deliver hay to their feed buckets with us for the evening and tuck them in safe & sound in the barn for the night. We are happy to introduce you to the 60-minute Glow Boat Experience on pedal boats, a romantic night date idea in San Diego Bay! The boat illuminates 360 degrees inside and outside, and riding it after dark is a lot of fun. To complete your experience, a speaker and a small disco ball will make your boat rock'n'roll. Our crew will guide you through Night Bay to ensure you feel safe and know where to go. On an average night, we have a group of 12 boats and two boats with our crew. We will start at America's Cup Harbor, and after short pedaling, you will find yourself in San Diego Bay with a beautiful Night view of Downtown. We will play music, cruise around, and enjoy the skyline. The experience will end at the same location where it started. Pedal boats can accommodate up to 3 adults (600lb maximum weight). No experience is necessary to maneuver these pedal boats; you are good to go if you can ride a bike! You will stay dry all the time! Join us on a jaw-dropping picnic overlooking the dramatic coastline of Sunset Cliffs. Sitting 300 ft above sea level on golden carved out sandstone, overlooking the deep blues and greens of the Pacific Ocean, with cozy seating, ample shade, a deluxe meal, and intimate connection. This location is special because it is more private and awe-inspiring compared to other picnics. You will arrive at the picnic location and be greeted by your host, who will walk you down a trail for around 5-7 minutes to your fully set up picnic. This trail is accessible for beginners but does involve uneven terrain, so good balance and footing is helpful. Once you sit down upon the plush seating, you will be able to soak up the incredible views of this location. Your menu offerings of choice will already be elegantly spread along the table, ready for your enjoyment. Welcome to our little farm! We're so excited to share what life on a urban farm is like. To start, we will greet you at the front of our house. Please let us know if you're afraid of dogs because our dog is friendly but quite big. Then, we'll take you out back to the farm where you'll be able to meet and play amongst the goats. We'll either be waking up the goats in the morning or bringing them back inside for bedtime. As this is a hands on experience, you may want to bring clothes that you don't mind dirtying. While here, you can play and cuddle with the goats, and I'll share more about how to take care of them. Being a goat owner is so much fun and I am happy to share more with you. You can feed them, play with them, cuddle them. We also do have a bunch of chickens, and many of them lay awesome, naturally coloured eggs. You are welcome to collect and purchase some of these eggs while you are visiting. If you'd like, you can bring apples, carrots (a few) or goat treats (found at a feed store), but we also have a few snacks to share with you! Other things to note: Please bring clothes and shoes that are allowed to get dirty. If you want to book another time or during the week, please send me a message/request! We will be practicing on the beach in Encinitas (location flexible). I typically teach custom Vinyasa flow classes and before our class, I will ask you about your level, any injuries, and your preferences (are you a beginner or advanced, are you looking for a more rigorous practice to get a good sweat or something more gentle like yin restorative, or even a pre or post surf specific practice, etc.). All classes will include a warm up, shavasana cool down, guided Nidra visualization, and pranayama breath work. Start to end time can be anywhere between 1-1.5 hours (depending on preference). Guests should bring a mat (I can bring one if you don’t have one available), a light towel, sunscreen, water, and a bathing suit if you’d like to end class with a dip in the ocean. Following class, I can show you to the meditation gardens or point you towards some good local spots with recommendations for whatever you’re looking for during your stay (food, wellness, attractions, surf spots, entertainment, shopping, etc.). *Please be sure to bring water and sunscreen and wear comfortable yoga clothes (plus a bathing suit if you'd like to swim after).
