“This is the grand-daddy of beach breakfast. There will be a line, but the food is worth the wait! Plates will be piled high with whatever food you ordered, and they have a patio right across the street where guests can sit and watch the ocean while they enjoy their meal. This is truly a local staple.”

“Man, this has to be my favorite. It is RIDICULOUSLY good. They have everything you could ever want... from man candy bacon, to stuffed french toast. Ask about the latte of the day or get a mimosa flight with an antioxidant juice to pair. (Acai is my go-to). The potatoes are food-coma worthy. My Favorite: -The Tuscan Eggs Benedict with a side of bacon and avocado -Coconut Latte -Buttermilk pancakes ”

“In Hillcrest. Bakery and cafe. One of the first in San Diego to make European-style hard-crust bread in an authentic oven. Try a sampler of their breads for breakfast/brunch/lunch, get a sandwich or home made pastry, or buy some bread or a baguette to go. A San Diego icon, it is still one of the best.”

“Olive Cafe definitely fits in the fun, funky vibe of most Mission Beach restaurants, but it also adds a considerable dash of cozy. The menu is filled with fresh, quality home-cooked food. The cozy fireplace lends a comfortable, intimate feel.”
