Make sure to try their "Banica" (Filo pastry + Feta Cheese) with a drink of Ayran (Yogurt drink) if you want to have breakfast like a Bulgarian!”

“BEST CAKES in Sofia. If you have the sweet tooth, Vila Rosiche will make your fantasy dance! The cakes there are extremely delicious, always fresh and with best quality ingredients. To prove that I will just share you a secret - my husband and I ordered our wedding cake from there and all the guests talked for months about it :) Plus, they have a beautiful garden outside, so it is perfect for sunny days.”

“The artisanal bread at Baker Brothers will remind you of how satisfying a simple, warm loaf can be. Your best bet is to grab a jar of lyutenitsa from a nearby store, spread it on your freshly bought bread, then savor one of the greatest simple pleasures of life in Bulgaria. The croissants are excellent as well.”

“Ma Baker is a stylish neighborhood bakery taking pride in its traditional bread prepared “the old way”. It is named after a legendary 1930-s outlaw (or the Boney M’s song with the same name) and also offers a variety of cookies, baked goods, croissants and quality caffeinated drinks. Ma Baker’s sandwiches could do you for a light lunch as well - prepared with the bread of the day.”
