“Go to a Sporting Event!! Any sport you’re into Ottawa has it! The Ottawa Redblacks football team, the Fury soccer team, and the 67s junior hockey team are all right around the corner at TD Place. The Ottawa Senators hockey team are just a bus ride away at the Canadian Tire Center (look up 400-series OC-Transpo bus routes on game day).”

“BEER BIBLE. Good food too.... lol. I spend several months travelling Europe and a huge portion of that time was spent in Belgium. The Kingdom of Beer. It has been impossible to find certain beers I had over there, that is until I went to Pub Italia. They have the Beer Bible which is a fairly exhaustive list of any kind of beer you could possible want. The best part is they are all imported and stored on site, so they get that extra aging time if no one is ordering them. The pizza here is also really quite good and I've hear good things about the pasta dishes too.”

“Chinatown is mainly located on Somerset street west. It has the best Korean, Vietnamese, and Dim Sum choices in town! You can also find private Karaoke bars, China doll entertainment and lots of cheap shopping. A must see if you're in town. The traditional Chinese arc was built by foreign Chinese workers.”

Lake
“Dows Lake Pavilion is the ideal location for people looking to enjoy the Rideau Canal and Dows Lake. Situated at 1001 Queen Elizabeth Drive in Ottawa, it offers an abundance of parking, options for recreational activities, appetising restaurants with scenic water views and is an easy access point for individuals that don't want to battle traffic or deal with the headache of finding a parking spot in a busy downtown core. The Pavilion is a favourite destination for residents and tourists of Ottawa. It's a hub for outdoor enthusiasts as it's a great spot to exercise, relax and enjoy Ottawa's beautiful scenery with food and beverage options after. In the winter months the Pavilion is the gateway to the world's longest skating rink and site of events during the Winterlude festival. In the spring, it's a focal point of formal tulip displays during the Tulip Festival and throughout the summer it plays host to many water focused recreational activities. The Pavilion is the best place to start your canal adventure since there are more parking options at this location than downtown and the skate is less crowded. People looking to enjoy this beautiful site can rent canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and paddleboats in the warmer months and rent skates, snow shoes, or sleighs from the Pavilion in the winter months to aid in exploring the National Capital Regions finest treasure. We also boast a large Marina offering fuel, pump outs, laundry, full private washroom facilities and serviced docking facilities to both transient and seasonal boaters. ”
