“Coined as the centre of the Earth, these caves are some of the the largest and most famous underground caverns in Italy. It may be cold but this crystalline wonderland is completely worth it. The factions from the theatrical lighting light up the beams and walkways which lead to displays showcasing the most extravagant stalagmites and stalactites.”

Spa
“A fabulous spa facility at the Terme baths at Viterbo. The remains of Roman baths, the healing waters and mud is still recognised for its healing qualities. In medieval times, the baths were a favourite destination for many Popes, hence the name. Would highly recommend a visit. About 30 min drive from the property You can either visit the baths alone for their healing qualities or alternatively visit the Spa with a wide selection of face and body treatments. Closed on Tuesday ”

“Un bijou d'architecture médiévale avec une magnifque cathédrale renfermant des fresques à ne pas manquer Il y a aussi un très beau marché le samedi matin et on peut déjeuner dans un des petits restaurants proches de la place du marché. Je recommande Da Carlo qui a une jolie terrasse mais avec peu de places. Il faut réserver en arrivant au marché.”

“ The Tower Bridge , 230 m long , symbol of the city : it was the most spectacular part of the aqueduct of Cortaccione of Roman origin . It is considered a Roman - Lombard building according to some , late medieval according to others , unique in its height of 82 m . The monument is covered by a delicate operation monitoring of the stress state of the walls . It is considered an anomaly at the time of its construction : in fact , rarely in the same era were built civil use of such grandeur . The work is celebrated by Goethe in his Italienische Reise . The place has become infamous in time for the occurrence of some incidents of suicide [ 5 ] . Extreme towards Monteluco is the small Mill Fortress , turreted building that for centuries has played a supervisory role on the bridge .”

“Civita di Bagnoregio Civita was founded by Etruscans more than 2,500 years ago. Civita was the birthplace of Saint Bonaventure, who died in 1274. The location of his boyhood house has long since fallen off the edge of the cliff. By the 16th century, Civita was beginning to decline, becoming eclipsed by its former suburb Bagnoregio.”
