“This park is beautiful! It is a community supported park, and includes a paved walking trail around the park, park benches to rest, clean restrooms, and a beautiful river running next to it, with access for fishing, rafting, or just dipping your feet!”

“What a view! Drive up above Boone to this park and take a look at grand vistas! It's the closes place to Boone with a stellar view, and there's no hike to get there- especially good for folks with limited mobility. Closed for the winter, so check the dates before you head up!”

“Check out the Falls Trail that starts from the Rec Center or hike/bike the Emerald Mountain Outback. Day passes at the rec center are only $3/person. They have an indoor playroom for young kids (rainy days!), basketball, tennis, pickleball courts, weightroom, etc. The facility is adjacent to a lake, and you can check out canoes and fishing equipment. The Town of Beech Mountain participates in a special program where you can get a 3-day fishing license for only $5 to fish within town limits. ”
