“Kazan – Turkish upmarket Kazan is an upmarket Turkish restaurant, but the food is as generous and hearty as its less extravagant cousins. The décor is beautifully opulent, with black furnishings and plenty of red and gold accents, while the menu is inspired by the food produced in the Sultans’ kitchens from the Ottoman era, but with a distinctly modern feel. 93-94 Wilton Rd, Lillington and Longmoore Gardens, London SW1V 1DW £££ ”

“This club is beautifully set within a library and does an amazing pre-theatre menu. It's a great way to be introduced to the Indian food scene, fine dining style. Staff is very friendly and overall great atmosphere. There is also a more budget-friendly Cinnamon Kitchen at Battersea that does great set menus all evening. ”

“Hidden away beneath the hugely popular restaurant, Cambridge Street Kitchen, this lovely, hard to find cocktail bar occupies its own niche in the nightlife of Pimlico. The building itself is a former Victorian pub with a sordid reputation, transformed by the Artist Residence group. There’s a great range of drinks on offer in an intimate, low key setting that also hosts a monthly-changing selection of artwork — courtesy of a partnership with Soho’s Lawrence Alkin Gallery. Head down on Tuesday night for Test Tuesday’s, to see bar manager Steven and his team experiment with cocktails created using seasonal produce from the restaurant’s fresh fruit and veg supplier — and they’re cheaper than nor”

“Move from one end to the other of the longest bar in London at Zander Bar — indulging in cocktails along the way, of course. Whether it’s a short or long drink you’re after, whether it’s pre or post theatre, the variety and quality of alcohol available is sure to please any city-goer. Sit under a canopy of large circular lights and gaze out of the wall of windows that makes the bar so open and airy. If you’re looking for a martini, and this is, incidentally, the perfect place for the sophisticated drink, enjoy choosing from a whole dedicated section on the menu. For a pre-dinner palate cleanser, try the refreshing and punchy watermelon martini. If you’re left feeling a bit woozy from the del”
