The Snailbox is relatively close by, the food is good though not cheap, staff friendly, has a bar, sometimes entertainment and my guests have recommended it. Evening good.

Drinks & Nightlife
Not nightlife in the usual sense but if you want to experience genuine traditional Irish music until midnight in a "Traditional Irish" small village bar on Thursday nights, this is the place. You can even sing a song. Guiness is good too and not overly priced.

Sightseeing
Over 5000 years old, ancient passage tomb. An absolute must for anyone visiting meath. Along with the Hill of Tara and Trim Castle.

Seat of the High Kings of Ireland. One of the most important places for the Druid community. Summer Soltice and other important times of year.

Lovely not so old Castle where you can have afternoon tea or a meal. You can tour the castle and the new distillery. Also many famous bands have concerts there every few years. Guns and Roses this year 2017.

Lovely not so old Castle where you can have afternoon tea or a meal. You can tour the castle and the new distillery. Also many famous bands have concerts there every few years. Guns and Roses this year 2017.
Norman Castle, really amazing, a true fortress, interesting tours and great view from the top. This castle was used in the making of Braveheart and you can see some of the set props, still on display in the little coffee shop, on the main street just around the corner of the castle entrance, against the castle wall.
