Sightseeing

The Greenway is a long stretch of old unused railway lines which have been turned into a cycle path. If you feel like a day out cycling this is the perfect place. As you cycle along you get stunning sea views and views of the beautiful Comeragh Mountains. I painted this view of the Comeragh Mountains. I took this photograph while cycling on the Greenway and wanted to capture it in oils on my return to London.

Absolutely beautiful spot to spend a whole day. This is one of Irelands oldest lighthouses. Hook Lighthouse was recently voted as one of the top ten places to visit in Ireland. Families love the games on the lawns, fun activities and offer year round plus the annual calendar of special events, festivals and late opening occasion which take place. If travelling out to Hook you might want to visit Irelands most haunted house, Loftus Hall. The mansion, with a long history of ghostly occurrences and misery, opened its doors to the public for the first time in 30 years in 2012. Would you be brave enough to take a tour?

Boatstrand Harbour, is a small coastal pier situated on the south coast of Ireland. The dock dates back to the 1800s and is a hub of activity in the summer months.
