The cafe is housed in the former station master's house. Many of the rooms have interesting items of art and decor which are available for purchase. There is plenty of seating indoors, or there are covered tables outside to better take in the beauty of the gardens.

There is a small food precinct consisting of a MacDonald’s, pizza, cracker jack chicken, Indian and Thai restraint, Craig's hardware, and the Highfields Cultural Center.
