Things To Do
The southern half of the beach is particularly favoured and features a saltwater pool. The beach itself is exceptionally well protected from wind and swell. It is ideal for: young children; swimming long, uninterrupted laps; kayaking (see below); or paddle boarding. Because it is so safe, there is no lifeguard in attendance.

There are a range of fire trails nearby that are very popular for walking and mountain biking. North of the town is Mt Ettalong Lookout. Turn off the main road at the water reservoir (where you should be able to park) before proceeding on foot to the lookout.
