I have not been to Old Hickory, but I know it is a local favorite. They are located on Palafox, nestled between some of the most delicious restaurants.

By far the best Sushi and Ramen. Be sure to try their garlic and soy edamame. I have not had a thing here that I did not love. Also located in the heart of downtown.

This is a must. Just a couple of blocks from The Shiny Shed, they have great burgers, steaks, and fish. Their food is great, but the atmosphere is what brings in huge crowds.
