For a quick completely nature experience. Take the 20 minute walk through the forest at North Point Park and end up on the sand dune bluffs 100’ above Lake Michigan. Perfect place to take a picnic.

Michigan’s six fish hatcheries release up to 330,000 ton of indigenous fish in to the lakes, rivers and waterways a year. This small hatchery is about a 30 minute drive from the house.

Typically mid August through early September you can pick your own blueberries just 1 mile north of the property. Just follow the U-Pick signs to the white trailer. I keep baking supplies in the house for you to make some blueberry muffins for the next days breakfast :)

Hang on to your hat! It’s a fun open air truck ride through the woods and in to the dunes.. knowledgeable drivers will give you a little history lesson of the dunes and area along the way.
