Wonderful old restored Victorian church, and the nearby school, recall early Oysterville life. Don't miss vespers at 3 p.m. on summer Sundays: a bit of liturgy or preaching and a lot of great music.

If you fly kites, or just watch, this is a great place to spend an hour or half a day -- especially a day when you can't get out into the beach. The sheer beauty of these flyers is amazing.

There aren't many places like this tip of the peninsula. Good trails, nice beach, great place for birdwatching, especially in October.

Great views, great sight itself, access via either of two easy trails. One's wide and direct, the other passes the Coast Guard quarters and store using the old lighthouse-keeper's walkway. Uphill from the parking lot is an amazing view north that takes in the whole peninsula.

Great bread, wonderful for breakfast or lunch, good coffee, nice stop on a drive to Oysterville or Leadbetter Point. Well, actually, a destination in itself. Don't miss trying the cheese sables.
