Dog sledding adventures & summer camps. Another dog sledding group that came highly recommended from a guest is Bear Ridge Adventures. Book early, reservations fill up. Summer activities are also available.

It's only a mile to the overlook, but it is an UPHILL mile. At altitude. From the overlook you get a great view of Park City Resort, looking down at the King Con lift. Keep climbing and the trail meets up with the Mid Mountain trail. If you are hiking it in the winter, bring yaktrax to keep from sliding. Loads of people sled down.

Take a Hike
If you make it to the Uintas, Bald Mountain is a (relatively) short 3 mile hike to get to a spectacular viewpoint at almost 12K feet (but it starts at 10,800’). Trail has some rocky/steep parts. Pay attention to the weather, it can change quick up that high. If it’s smoky, the view won’t be nearly as great.

The Uintas are really nice in the summer because they are higher up so a bit cooler and there are a lot of lakes. Near the lakes, you are likely to run across mosquitos. It can get very busy on weekends, so mid-week is best for avoiding crowds. Day passes are $6, and you can buy them at self-pay stations in the park or at the Ranger Station in Kamas. If you have little ones, this pool is awesome. It is about a 20 min drive, and is INDOOR, so great in the winter or on a crummy day (we do get those, occasionally). Beach entrance, water features, lazy river, and a 2 story slide.
