To get permission to gain entrance. *VIP ask permission preferably at least 24 hours before entry, to come into the ranch, as this it is a private ranch, not usually open to the public. Without prior permission and payment you cannot go in. It is also used for British army exercises, so sometimes there is no access.
It is not a huge tourist entity, so the roads are not great, no sign posts and a v bad map. But if you have a 4x4 high clearance car it’s worth the adventure.
Tell Ruth how many adults, and kids, Your surname and how many cars, and the dates you want to come in, that way she can tell the security at the gate. If you are residents state this. If you are non-residents, it is $70 a person.
Entry fees 2000 KES per day per resident adult,
kids over 4 years old are 1000 KES per day.

Easy to get to. A fabulous day out.
Also a chimpanzee sanctuary which the kids especially love.

Beautiful indigenous forest. Great forest canopy walk. Elephant sightings. Great birdlife. Beautiful walking and picnic spots. Swimming in the blue pools.

An perfect day trip. Get up early take a picnic and head up to the Sirimon Gate for a wonderful day of hiking in breathtaking scenery. Extrodinary landscape.

Right next to the airstrip (South of Nanyuki) Good loo stop on your way up from Nairobi! Pizza, sandwiches, burgers etc. Recommend the pizza. Kids love watching the aeroplanes coming in and out. Good little playground for them.
