Pembroke Castle is one of the best preserved/restored Norman castles in the country and is well worth an afternoons visit with the family. Pembroke is just a mile or so away from Lamphey (where you will be staying) and is very easily accessible by car, train or bus. Pembroke town has some lovely shops for souvenier shopping and some nice places to have lunch.

Wild, rugged and powerful, Freshwater West beach is on the tip of the Angle Peninsular and is a famous spot for surfing and watersports. Also famous for being the location of The Shell House in the Harry Potter movies, and Dobbys memorial is still at the beach for fans who want to leave him a gift. Also the home of Cafe Mor, so a great opportunity to grab some local seafood while enjoying the wild views.

Barafundle Bay has been voted in the top ten most beautiful beaches in the world many times over the years and never fails to impress. Park at Stackpole Quay (and fortify your self with a cup of tea and some cake at the BoatHouse Tearooms) and make the short half mile trek over the cliffs to enjoy the peaceful and sheltered bay. Great for swimming and family days out.
