You can find pretty much anything you might need here.. fuel for the boat or car, random hardware/plumbing, rain gear, fishing tackle, clothing, and even groceries like milk, meat and local shrimp too. Super friendly service! Best hand-dipped ice cream around :)

This is great little local shop in Davis with all kinds of hand-made trinkets. You will pass this store on your way out here and back.. if it's open, it's worth the stop.

Food Scene
Recommending the Bay Breeze Restaurant, as its the only option for dining out in Cedar Island. The fried flounder is good and the SheCrab soup is worth trying. They have a couple pool tables, a big screen and jukebox too.

Great spot for grabbing lunch or dinner.
Softshell crab burger is on point!

Sightseeing
Take the ferry to Ocracoke for the day.
We like to take the ferry over, park the car, and rent a golf cart on Ocracoke to explore the island. It's a much more lively island, lots of good restaurants and shops.
*Make reservations in the busy season!

This is a great ferry service out of Harkers Island. They offer passenger boat rides to Cape Lookout, and you can often see the wild horses of Shackleford Banks and lots of other wildlife.

This ferry service leaves out of Davis, taking passengers and vehicles to Cape Lookout and the South Core Banks. You can usually catch a glimpse of the Shackleford Bank horses and lots of other wildlife.
