Mitchel is the owner. Super nice guy who was born here. He’s a CIA trained chef who is very creative. It’s pricey, but worth it. If the morels are in season, get those.

Sightseeing
The Battle of Stones River was one of the worst battles in the Civil War. It took place over 6000 acres, but only 600 have been set aside as park. Much of the land you walk on anywhere near the battlefield is actual land where the battle took place. We found a Civil War bullet a couple feet from where the bathroom is built now (it was intact so it never hit it’s intended target).

Murfreesboro at one point before the Civil War was the State Capital. Our city has great history, shops, restaurants, and architecture. Take a stroll downtown.

If you want to get a feel for the really old, like 1700’s, Murfreesboro history, this is a great place. And it’s close to the Square, so you won’t have to go far to get from the 1700’s to 1800’s.

Oakland’s Mansion is a well preserved plantation home that was owned by one of the original doctors in Murfreesboro. Great photo opportunities on the front steps and on the staircase.
