Ship's Company Theatre is a professional theatre company located in the coastal community of Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are a prime centre for the production and development of Canadian and Atlantic theatre serving a local, regional and tourist audience since 1984. Our season begins in July and consists of two Mainstage plays, a Second Stage show, a Kid's stage production, our Concert Series, Youth Theatre Camps and much more! You are invited to join us to experience our award-winning theatre on the Parrsboro harbour. People come from all over for our theatre and music and to check out the unique architectural wonder that is our theatre as it is literally built around a ship - the historic MV Kipawo ferry boat. Ottawa House represents an important segment of Cumberland County’s history at the time of Confederation and illustrates mid-eighteenth century architecture, economic and cultural development. It is believed to be the oldest building on the Parrsboro Shore and one of the oldest in the province of Nova Scotia.

Ottawa House By-The-Sea Museum
1155 Whitehall RdThe Ottawa House By-The-Sea Museum is owned and operated by the Parrsborough Shore Historical Society. Ottawa House represents an important segment of Cumberland County’s history at the time of Confederation and illustrates mid-eighteenth century architecture, economic and cultural development. It is believed to be the oldest building on the Parrsboro Shore and one of the oldest in the province of Nova Scotia.

Sightseeing
Three km from Parrsboro town centre is Partridge Island, site of the original settlement of Parrsboro. A 1.5 km trail crosses the island to a look off offering magnificent views of Cape Blomidon, Cape Split and Spencer's Island.

The Parrsboro Lighthouse can be viewed right from the cottage. You can also take a short drive to Pier Road, and view it from across the harbour. Lots of parking right beside the delicious Harbour View Restaurant. Take in the stunning views and keep an eye out for our Pinky Cove Cottage, as it can be seen across the way:)

Best described as a wilderness park, it has 29 km (18 mi.) of pristine coastline, deep valleys, sheltered coves, rare plants, and remnant old-growth forests.
A not-to-be-missed seaside village with a bustling Main Street, you'll find a craft brewery, farmers' market, handmade chocolates, fresh baked goodies, chowder, bike rentals and restored rail cars that are now an inn, all within a one-kilometre stretch.
