This amazing mountain top is a short drive from the condo. Grandfather mountain offers substantial views and has a suspension bridge very safe (even for kids) that is 1 mile above the valley.

about 2 miles north is the entrance to the blue ridge parkway. This is a wonderful scenic drive with many places to pull off locations to enjoy incredible view and have a nice picinic. Go as far east or west as you like. This parkway leads all the way to Cherokee NC
