Uluwatu Temple, or Pura Luhur Uluwatu, one of six key temples believed to be Bali's spiritual pillars, is renowned for its magnificent location, perched on top of a steep cliff approximately 70 metres above sea level. This temple also shares the splendid sunset backdrops as that of Tanah Lot Temple, another important sea temple located in the island's western shores. Pura Luhur Uluwatu is definitely one of the top places on the island to go to for sunset delights, with direct views overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean and daily Kecak dance performances. Balinese architecture, traditionally-designed gateways, and ancient sculptures add to Uluwatu Temple's appeal.

Kedonganan Fish market, or by the local people called Pasar Ikan Kedonganan is the major fresh seafood retail market in Bali, where every day the fishermen land and bring their catches. The fishermen usually go fishing late in the evening and return after dawn to sell their fresh catches to market traders waiting on the shores. If you come to the fish market early in the morning, you will watch the fishermen unload their nets, ranging from large to small catches (sardines, shrimp, crab, lobster, etc.) to be weighed, auctioned in ice containers. You can spot and buy a variety of fresh seafood. In the south of the market and port when the ships dock, there is a row of houses of Kedonganan Village, where they open some seafood restaurants, serving fresh local ingredients. You can enjoy the seafood meals while embracing the sunset and the sea breeze. Kedonganan Fish Market is one of the places to visit by foodies if you are on vacation in Bali, Indonesia. Kedonganan Fish Market is located in Jimbaran, South Kuta. To get there is easy. You just follow the Jimbaran main road, Jalan Uluwatu to its northern end, or go along Jalan Segara Madu, south of Ngurah Rai International Airport. Kedonganan Fish Market is also very close to the morning village market that serves the local Kedonganan community, where fresh foods and daily necessities are sold. In this market, you can find a variety of tropical vegetables, spices, and fruits that are commonly used by the locals for cooking in their homes.
