Great vendors and shops. Local farmers and produce. Wet dog brewery is a great place to hang out as well as the coffee shop, Morty and Edna’s, that has unique food as well as good coffee and a great vibe. The Blueberry Patch is a lovely local shop filled with great local flair, and beautiful merchandise.

The Saturday Farmer’s market is a must

Local venders set up their wares every Saturday morning at the farmers market at journal plaza. Definitely try Ms Terri’s homemade pasta, and the local venders of fruits and veggies. There’s even a French chef pâtissier who frequents the market with French bread and sweets.

Strolling the downtown area

Lake Placid has been listed as one of the most interesting small towns. You will get a feel of their small town charm by strolling the downtown area and enjoying the murals that cover most buildings, and even garbage cans, of the town.
À ne pas manquer

The caladium fields and farmers.

As well as being known for their mural’s and clowns, Lake Placid is the largest producer of caladiums worldwide. Over 50 varieties of the beautiful leaves we know today we’re created by local farmers in Lake Placid. Great colorful plants for the hot summers in Florida. Stop by one of the farmers in the area and grab some for yourself.
