Best ramen in the area. If you like pork, go there and get the pork ramen. But everything is really good. No reservations and you'll wait if you go at peak times, but it's worth it.

This is where you go to buy beans or other coffee needs. Very close to the apartment. They will make basic cappuccino and coffee as well, but better for buying in bulk and making it at home. Worth walking in just for the smell of the beans.

This is an awesome cheese shop that sells artisan beer, local vegetables, jams, and makes salads and sandwiches. Right across from Gimme Coffee. I like to go in and order a sandwich, then go get a coffee and sit down and eat.

No one but the locals know about this spot. Best coffee. Coolest staff. Gritty cool rooftop. Great meatballs and salmon bentos and sandwiches. Closest spot to me to get a coffee and have a bite. Fette Sau's more upscale cousin across the street. Make a reservation and then go to their other cousin next door Spuyten Dyvil and have a craft beer while you wait for an hour or two, but the meat is ridiculous.

French bistro. Great drinks. Good food. Really good brunch spot close to the apartment. In the back room there is a fireplace. In the winter you can sneak in when it's cold and have a drink and warm your feet.

You go there, buy tickets, sit at the bar before you line up to go in. Sit down and waiters take your food and drink orders and bring them to you while you watch the movie. Some new films are there, but always there are classics and offbeat films. They even do a brunch and a movie. Awesome spot. When you walk out, make a left or a right and you'll find bars, sushi spots, ramen, anything. Right and a left and you'll be on Bedford Avenue right in the heart of Williamsburg proper.

That area is incredible. You're right under the Brooklyn AND Manhattan Bridges. Iconic pizza joints, you should walk over the bridge, check out the waterfront on the Brooklyn side, go to the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Just roam around and bring a camera.
