Not a good walk but only 1.5 miles driving. Very good pastries and fresh baked goods. Also, great pancakes and breakfasts. Not open on Sunday.

A Fort Worth institution going waaaay back. Burgers are very good and it's a must try if you're looking for a great local burger. Would probably be a 15 minute walk from the apartment.

THE BEST BBQ in town in my opinion (or Angelo's). I love this place and if you want a cold beer, there aren't many colder than the goblets they serve at Railhead.

Always has a good crowd, have heard many folks talking about how they love it. I have been once and got a fried shrimp platter..very good. Need to try it again.

The best Italian food I've had in the States. Cash/check only and BYOB but it's worth it. Also, get there early as there are only a few tables.
Pasta is fresh made. Setting is OK. Price is medium.

Unique dining with "Texas" homemade foods/steaks, etc. Unique decor and nice bar. In the heart of West 7th with many bars and other restaurants with a block. Great place to start a fun night.

By far, the best and most unique burgers in Fort Worth. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for a good burger. Also, best onion rings I've ever had.

New and 1st class childrens (and adults) museum that is geared toward children but has some exhibits come through which are very interesting for all ages. They have the best IMAX experience ever.

World-class modern art museum. If you like architecture, the building is part of the art. Great restaurant and bar as well. They have some fun social events on certain Friday's & Saturday's.

Another world-class museum in the area. Currently open but under construction (7/10/12) for an addition to the museum. Lou Kahn designed Kimbell gets very good exhibitions on a regular basis.

Bowling meets bar meets lounge. Huge bar and outside patio. Weekend nights you must be dressed decent to get in. Drinks are somewhat expensive and bowling isn't real cheap at night. Lots of TV's too.

We just got our 1st Trader Joe's in 2012 and it's a small, unique grocery store with lots of healthy choices. It's a great place to buy healthy snacks, fresh fruits and cheap wine (2 buck chuck).
