Ben's Chili Bowl is a DC landmark. Try a chili half-smoke and chili cheese fries. They are Bill Cosby's favorite. After bar close the line can be over an hour long, but it is worth the wait.
A local classic of delicious hot dogs and chili. You have to try their chili. All the stars and politicians have come here. Bill Cosby's favorite. Obama has eaten here.

This is an indoor foodie market with restaurants and upper end food stalls (cheeses from all over, meat and fish market, veggies, hand made chocolates, etc.) Outdoor tables available as well--There is nothing really around this location I'd send you to but if you have a car and like food markets, this one is good.

Stay for an hour or six hours; they won't care, even if you just order one cup of coffee. Good food nice service. Hipster loungey w/ mix & match shabby chic mcm furnishings.
