Parks & Nature
Kadriorg Park is the most outstanding palatial and urban park in Estonia, covering around 70 hectares. Its construction began in 1718 on the orders of Russian tsar Peter I. Elements of park design from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries can be seen here.
The most popular places for a stroll in the park are the flower beds surrounding the Swan Pond and the promenade leading from there to the president's palace.

This beach, the biggest in Tallinn, is located in the suburb of Pirita but popular with beach-goers from all over the city. You can get to it on buses from the city centre. The beach has changing cabins, lockers, playgrounds for children and areas for ball games. In summer there is a beach bar, a ten pin bowling club bar and kiosks. There is also a small market. You can hire beach loungers.

This beach, the biggest in Tallinn, is located in the suburb of Pirita but popular with beach-goers from all over the city. You can get to it on buses from the city centre. 1/3/5 Regati pstPirita promenade has been a long-time favourite of walkers, roller skaters and cyclists in Tallinn. The paved pathway that begins in Kadriorg and runs for about 2 km, winds along the waterfront all the way to Pirita.
The promenade, offering a lovely view, was created in 1980 when Tallinn was the venue of the Olympic regatta.

Kadriorg palace and park is one of the favourite places of tourists and locals. This baroque palace ensemble with grandiose interior, beautiful park and fountains was a gift from tsar Peter the I to his wife Catherine. Ensemble is the extravagant example of tsar's goodness. The children’s park that operated in the 1930s and was called a children’s paradise, captivates with its historical building and the complete architectural solution that is a perfect complement to the ensemble of buildings in the Kadriorg Park.
!Next to the museum there are several playgrounds and amusement park for children. It´s fun place to go if you have young kids.
