This park has it all. The beach, hiking in the woods, playground, picnicking, and even train spotting opportunities.
Oh and yes, a wonderful location for sunsets.

This park is closeby. It has a big field, picnic tables, wading pool, bathrooms, and a good playground. An easy walk from our house.

This park (Meridian Park) is about 8 blocks away. It has everything from a Wednesday Farmers Market, a community pea-patch with educational markers, great play ground, an large open spaces.

Gas Works Park is a wonderful place to go enjoy city and lake views. It is 10 blocks away. Make sure you check out kite hill, it has a very unusual sundial up top. You act as the shadow casting Gnomon that will reveal what time it is.

Visit a huge troll under the Aurora bridge at Troll Ave & N 36th. It is so big it holds a real VW bug in its hand. A popular place to get your photo taken. In the neighboring, Fremont neighborhood.

This is a fun tour of downtown. An underground look at the part of the city that was on street level, before they graded the streets so they were flat and level. Kids esp. like it, but adults enjoy it too.

Not only can you buy great chocolate at Theo's, but it has a great tour of it's chocolate factory. A tip: if it appeals to you, you can dumpster dive for the imperfect chocolate it throws away daily.

Take the path to the left of the “ruin” at the top of the driveway. Follow the path along the white house, go down the stairs to the street (N. 40th), Turn right. Go straight for 2 blocks and you will arrive at Durn Good.
