Botanical gardens! Huge park, with plenty of nature, trees, monkeys, etc. Cheap entrance fee and a good option for an afternoon.

Free of entrance fee. Nice park and also a good option when you are heading to the botanical gardens. The house in the middle is an art school and has a good angle for some shots of the Crist statue

One of my favorite spots of Rio. Awesome view from the top floor. Has some cultural interventions now and then. A must go!

This neighborhood is amazing with carioca vibe, samba and tradicional restaurants. Here I recommend Restaurant do Mineiro. Get the Feijoada should be enough for 4 people to eat. Come and leave by taxi

Tradicional bar and restaurant. Come and observe the people getting some beers and sitting on the Urca's wall. Nice view of Botafogo. Reserve an afternoon sun set to enjoy this good vibe.
