This is my favourite coffee shop. They roast their own beans fresh, and the baristas are always up for a great conversation. Also a great place to come with your laptop and get some work done using their free wifi.

Super close to our apartment and the entire food menu is $5.95. No joke! Drinks are normal prices, but the food menu is the best deal ever. Order the burgers... yummy.

Located right on the University of Ottawa campus, this restaurant has live music, poetry slams, open mics, or other student-run events almost every night of the week. Their food is good and also beer is also very reasonable. The patio is super quiet and nice in the summer. Only open Mon-Fri.

It is also conveniently located just blocks away on the corner of Laurier and Chapel. Well worth a visit, and it is free this summer for holders of a Parks Canada 150 Pass.
