One of the top places to visit if you are wanting a special place that's quiet and a bit on the romantic side. Casual to as fancy as you want to get is accepted anytime here. It's your occasion, so make it all you want it to be. The steaks are the best in town and the western atmosphere is fairly intimate with spaced out tables. They also have banquet area for larger private gatherings to be be secluded. Service is usually top notch.

If you like Mexican food, this is the go to place in town. The setting is like none other you'be been to. Inside the massive fort type entrance, you'll see the great duck pond that hosts swans and turtles too. you can sit right next to it and enjoy the silly antics of those creatures or sit inside for a different view out of inclement weather. Excellent margaritas and occasionally the Mariachi band will serenade you. They can accommodate very large parties if needed, contact them for booking the banquet space.

They burgers are some of the best in town and the cheese curds are to die for. The Cowboy salad will excite any rustler and then you can kick up your heels on the huge dance floor. Very Americana!! Wear your western wear if you have it.

Game days are on of the things to be sure to partake in, IF you can find a spot to stand. The service and food is consistently good. They have different bands most weekends that will engage all the dancers and music lovers. "Mogallon" is on e of my favorites playing country rock, 80's rock along with many classic country favorites. On good days, there will be horses parked right in the parking lot. Extra fun night life and endless shopping in unique shops during the day. occasional arts/crafts in the square to make it even more eventful. This is always a favorite of visitors and locals alike.
Entertainment & Activities
Because we have water in the desert! A huge lake full of fish if you desire to cast a rod out and test your luck and share your tales. You can rent boats at the marina for another fun filled activity. The drive to the lake is breathtaking and tummy tickling to say the least. When you crest the desert hills full of cactus and palo verde trees, the view of the lake is stunning. I recommend a drive out if nothing else. There is a small cafe/restaurant just before the marina and is a great stopping place for lunch. Watch your speed on the road in, it is lower than you think and the Ranger out there will remind you of that too with a certificate of speed merit. Go slow and enjoy the views.

The Jewel of the Creek springs run through the middle canyon with cottonwood trees and small meadow areas. You can climb to the top of many mountains surrounding the area. Trails range from easy to extreme. Your heart will lead you to the beauty best suited for you. Bring plenty of water, snacks or a picnic lunch. Please be aware of your surroundings as wildlife is important to us all and sometimes can be dangerous. Enjoy from a distance. Host hikes available too. Full moon hikes are offered during that moon phase. Free entry.

Spur Cross Trailhead
