The Friars Head is 5 minutes from The Garden Suite and is a great place for casual dining. The very large conservatory has been refurbished with large sofas to relax before your meal.
The bar area is still very rustic with large log burning fire.

Fountains Abbey is a MUST see for all visitors to the area. It is only 30minutes from the Garden Suite and is a great day out for guests of all ages.
The Studley Royal Water Gardens, part of the Fountains Abbey Estate are magnificent.

About a mile along the disused railway line from Richmond Station beside the River Swale. A great short circular walk finishing with coffee and cake at Station Coffee shop.
