It's maybe a half hour walk, but once during your stay, you should probably try out a Bluegrass Brunch at the Dakota Tavern. They also book great live music.

About a 10-15 minute walk, this is a charming place to visit with really interesting independent stores and restaurants. Once a primarily Polish neighbourhood and you can still get great sausage here.

This is the park of the young and hip. Lots of people out with blankets and stealth (and not so stealth) beer/wine, lots of dogs and slacklines. Endlessly entertaining.
