Sightseeing
It's beautiful & just a 35 Minute train ride away. Just google "Kappelerbrücke" & Lucerne & you know why. I have to warn you, though, it's very touristic & the nightlife in Zurich is better...

Starts at the main station in Zurich. Not my cup of tea but good for shopping. Close to main station there are shops like H&M & the Apple store but further up there are some really exclusive shop. The Bahnhofstrasse is dead after 8pm as there are almost no restaurants or bars. Check out the following streets / places for very nice medieval streets close to Bahnhofstrasse: Paradeplatz, Rennweg, Lindenhof, Strehlgasse, Glockengasse, Schipfe & Wühre... then head over the Rathausbrücke (Brücke = Bridge) to the Niederdof. Close to main station there are shops like H&M & the Apple store but further up there are some really exclusive shops

Food Scene
Great buffet even though I usually don't like buffets too much. They do a great job! It's vegetarian only but I bet you won't miss meat there... Pay by weight. The only problem: You might want to get a huge portion as the food is amazing...

Another great buffet place for vegetarian dishes only. You pay by weight and will spend CHF 15-25 for a plate... Kind of budget friendly for what you get... It's delicious!

Such a shame it's so expensive! It's a huge climbing gym for sport climbing. There's also a bouldering area but for bouldering only there are cheaper places... For indoor sport climbing this is the place to go in Zurich. There's even a small section outside...

There's a cable care driving up there. Some nice hiking trails & you can get a coffee in the restaurant... You get a beautiful view of Zurich

I recommend to go to the police! You'll have to leave your ID to enter & see probably one of the nicest halls of a police headquarter which is accessible for the public. Open everyday 9am to 11am and 2pm to 4pm. Don't forget your ID! The entrance is free & the police usually not corrupt ;-) It's not a tour so you just go in yourself & have a look.

Entry: Free! It's not a great botanical garden compared to bigger ones in many cities but it's a decent place if you want to be in the city but outside. In the summer it's a good place for a picnic beside of the waterfront areas
