One of the most recognizable landmarks of East Boston is the 35-foot (11 m)-high statue of the Madonna. It gives a great view of the city and is a good local spot to catch the July 4 fireworks.

Stop by the Public Gardens, a beautiful landscape garden with the historic statue of George Washington on horseback. Swan Pond has a 15 minute relaxing ride on pedal boats for only $3 (April-Sept)!

Open daily until 2 pm (Sundays 1 pm), it's a great spot for breakfast. Donna and her son are there everyday, too. Check out the cool hand painted murals on the restaurant walls - Disney and dinosaurs!
