Parks & Nature
These trails can be busy on the weekends, but if you keep heading uphill you will eventually get to spots where not many people are! Royal Arch is a favorite trail if you have 4 hours or so. You will see a lot of dogs on Boulder trails, and especially in Chautauqua. The Mesa Trail is wide and flat and goes south from Chautauqua for a number of miles. Take plenty of water.

Short and medium length trails, including one for kids, are at the top of a short but nice drive up the mountain. An amphitheater frequently hosts weddings. Not as busy as Chautaqua. Be careful of bikers as you drive up and down.
