Our favorite Restaurants within walking distance
Julian's has been a neighborhood staple for more than two decades. Brunch is very popular so expect to wait up to an hour or more on the weekends unless you arrive early. We have other recommendations for brunch & suggest that you instead go to Julian's for dinner or weekday breakfast/lunch. Great spot for sitting outside in the warmer months. Literally right around the corner from our home.

This hole-in-the-wall joint is relatively new & we just love it! You don't go here for the health food so if that's a concern don't bother. We love the fried fish sandwich & the chicken sandwich. The waffle fries are awesome! Also a great spot for locally sourced oysters. Yum!

If you go to Loie Fuller's for the decor alone you won't be disappointed. This is pushing the limits of "walking distance" so if the weather is less than favorable you may want to Uber. This is the perfect restaurant for a romantic evening or a casual evening--the food is amazing & we love that we can get dressed up or go casual, no one cares.

Peruvian & Bolivian cuisine. Our favorite dish at Los Andes is "pollo a los Andes with cheesy rice". We split it because the portion is gigantic. The cheesy rice is crucial instead of the steak fries. A bit of a spicy kick but oh so amazing! The civiche is also the best we've ever had--anywhere. The service is great!
