Nice day trip. Kent Falls has a very well marked pathway going up the right side of the Falls. We like going up to the top that way and then crossing over and coming back down on the less traveled, opposite side. Visit the Town of Kent or an ice cream or lunch. If you can - go during the week when it's not very crowded.

Historical Main Street, Newtown
THE NEWTOWN FLAGPOLE is a landmark that has stood at the intersection of Main and Church Hill Road for over 130 years. http://www.newtownhistory.org/the-flagpole.shtml THE NEWTOWN MEETING HOUSE, build in 1720, is another town jewel. The rooster has a number of bullet holes rumored to be from French soldiers commanded by General Rochambeau, who marched through town in 1781 and 1782 on their way to Yorktown. Folklore, and most likely the "holes were almost certainly made by local shooters". https://newtownmeetinghouse.com/history.html HISTORICAL SOCIETY http://newtownhistory.org/index.shtml
