Although the service isn't always world renowned, the views certainly are. Enjoy a burger and beverage by the Squamish River. If you are lucky, you might just see an otter or eagle! Note that parking for this restaurant can be difficult to find but luckily for you, you can walk from home!

This hike (or bike) gets you up into the alpine. An 11-km hike (22 out and back) will get you to Elfin Lakes (pictured above) but a shorter (6km) hike will get you to the first cabin (Red Heather). This is a beautiful, easily accessible, touring area in the winter.
Although this hike is longer than others in the area, it is well worth it. Go prepared as mountain weather can change quickly.

This museum is great to walk around in but they also offer an opportunity to travel into the depth of a mine. Loud noises and dark spaces make this appropriate for older kids.
