Transportation Options
Taxis in Roatan work as "colectivos". They pick up customers as they go. The rates below are standard island rates. You can easily hail a taxi on the main road.
Puerta Azul to West End: $2 or 40 Lempira pp
Puerta Azul to West Bay: $5 or 100 Lempira pp
Puerta Azul to Coxen Hole: $2 or 40 Lempira pp
(Eldon's and Plaza Mar are two grocery stores located in Coxen Hole)

If you feel more comfortable taking a private taxi, that can easily be arranged. Prices will be slightly higher ($10 to West End, $15 to West Bay, $100 for a full day tour.)

A communal kitchen is available for guest use. Please be mindful by keeping the kitchen tidy for the next persons' use.
Our day caretaker is on duty from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. Our night watchman is on duty from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am.
A 19% Honduras Tax will be placed on all services charged on a credit card.

Meals to Enjoy at Puerta Azul
Breakfast is served from 8am to 9am and is included in your nightly rate. Breakfast is chef's choice and is served with water & coffee/hot tea or juice. Please let the hosts know of any dietary restrictions you may have.
Lunch and dinner are available everyday. Lunch is served from 12 to 3pm, dinner is served from 6pm onward. Please let host know of lunch or dinner requests in advance.

Swim out to the reef from the dock at Puerta Azul or take our kayaks out to Spooky Channel. Snorkeling gear is available for rent for $10 for the duration of your stay.

We highly recommend a private guided snorkeling tour on our boat, the Jesse James. Our captains are local born and raised and very knowledgeable about the best spots.
