West end, great food, free parking
Never had a bad meal, always excellent. Service can be iffy but holler their name and they come running. We had excellent service the last several times we were there. I recommend the Seafood Skillet for seafood lovers. Huge and delicious! The mixed ceviche is very good also. A very cool setting and atmosphere.

We have been going to Roatan for 20 years and just discovered this place a few years ago. Only one little sign to help you get there, up above Eldon's Grocery Store. It was hard to find but well worth it. Great staff to show you around, butterfly garden and hatchery, monkeys you can interact with, codaundi deer, parrots, toucan, island rabbits (look like guinea pigs)

Over 20 years ago this was created by a family to save the depleting population of iguanas. They provide food for you to feed the iguanas. Great place to take the kids.

Punta Gourda is on the east end of the island, a bit of a drive but a village where you can experience the local culture. Wonderful people.

On the way to Flowers Bay from Coxen Hole. Locally hand made "cameos" made from Queen conch shells. They are priced $40 and up. and make a great unique gift for someone. They are not restricted to faces but there are turtles, scenes, butterflies etc. There is usually a girl doing flower cameos that you can watch how it's done. If you want the super expensive stuff ask to go into the owners special room. He's quite the character.

They serve lunch at Eldon's during the week in the deli department and you can get a taste of local food for a very reasonable price. They start serving about 11:30 and run out of food fast.
There is a great fish store at Mega Mall in French Harbor towards the east end of the island. Try the Hog fish. Delicious! Traffic moves slow on cruise ship days so any trips up east are best on days without cruise ships

West Bay has a beautiful beach, again cruise ship days are best be avoided. There is great food and I believe you can get a day pass at infinity Bay hotel and use their pool.
