In addition to being a sports tourist center, Tavarone offers the possibility to access quickly the most important excursion network in east Liguria both on foot and by bike. In particular it can be possible to reach the famous 5TERRE HIGHWAY (5T horizontal trails) from the “PASSO DEL BOCCO DI BARGONE”. By different vertical trails, The 5TERRE HIGHWAY connects the high Val di Vara, in which Tavarone is settled, both to the Tigullio sea (Sestri Levante) and to Levanto. The “PASSO DEL BOCCO” is reachable from the small village of Colli (3 Km from Tavarone- 5 min by car) or from Disconesi ( 8 Km from Tavarone- 15 min by car). The views from the 5 TERRE HIGHWAY is breathtaking: a mix of Sea and greenery. A sense of freedom in pure and fresh air, the main characteristic of these places. Walking through the trails you can find equipped areas to have your packed lunch or about half an hour from the “PASSO DEL BOCCO” you con have lunch at refuge “ Da U Pria- Rifugio Tregin” on the vertical trail to Sestri Levante (reservation is needed).
For lovers of history and nature a particular place should be visited: the Archaeological site of Valle Lagorara. The trail starts from Santa Maria (6 Km from Tavarone – 13 min by car) and reaches “Rocca di Lagorara” the only prehistoric quarry of jasper discovered in Europe.
“La Casa di Alice” makes available to its guests the complete official map of the trails inside the house with geoghaphic coordinates to put in the guests google maps
