This little cute shop normally is filled with everything you could need and in the morning even has fresh bread. This grocery is family owned and operated. They open daily from 6:30am–7pm and on Sundays from 6:30am–2pm. And closed on holidays. Some of their items are even cheaper than the local supermarkets

No frills corner cafe with tiled exterior, for full English breakfasts and traditional British menu. It can get really busy at times.

This hidden is actually less than 5min walking away. I can definitely recommend the tasting menu of up to seven courses. The restaurant is situated within Westminster Kingsway College and offers an exclusive high-quality dining experience and the highest levels of service, with dishes cooked and served by top trained students. IMPORTANT: during the summer and bank holidays the restaurant is closed

One of my top 3 personal favorite London restaurants. This small British restaurant is run by Ffiona's who is a bit unconventional at first. But be prepared for some of the most brilliant British food made with locally sourced ingredients. Their absolute STAND-OUT dish is the Chicken Kiev. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The brick-vaulted cafe and restaurant in the crypt of St John's, Smith Square is a lovely spot for a meal or a coffee especially after visiting Big Ben. Opening times are normally between 8am-5pm. And some Sundays from noon. During brunch hours this place can get really busy, and sometimes I do hear that the staff seems a bit stressed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This upscale Turkish restaurant is really very good. You will find street food, but not a kebab on the menu. The decoration is unlike other Turkish restaurants. And the stand out is the mild spicy tomato sauce that comes with the bread. This is not your typical cheap Turkish restaurant and offers a nice change ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Granger & Coi, started in Asia Pacific and now has a couple of restaurants across London. Top stop for breakfast, brunch and lunch. During the weekend the queue/line can get very long. So don't arrive here later then 11:30 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Need I say more, the Big Ben is only 10min walking from here and it is without a doubt the most famous building of UK and is often cited as one of the most iconic buildings in the world

From the big museums in London, this is probably the most underrated one! The collection is loved by many. and the architecture and the interior design exude beautiful, understated charms. Best time to visit is on a random weekday when the museum is quiet. The permanent collection is free so anyone can enjoy the work of the masters from around the world. The museum restaurant is not bad at all. When bringing a bag, please mind the security, who will have to inspect its content

Enjoy a striking display of British pomp and pageantry, as you watch the free Changing the Guard ceremony outside Buckingham Palace, when the New Guard takes over from the Old Guard. The ceremony starts at 10.45am, but be sure to arrive no later then 10:30 to secure a good viewing spot. Always check the online calendar as times can change and the Queen's Guard can mount at different times, due to weather conditions and when the Guards are required for other ceremonial or operational duties or due to road closure.

There are few places in the world offering so much history in a single location. Partly a church still in daily use, and an extraordinarily beautiful example of gothic architecture, partly a shrine to almost a millennium of great Britons: Newton, Darwin, Kelvin; Purcell, Elgar, Vaughn Williams; Dickens, Dodgson, Hardy and the late Hawking; and scores of kings, queens, and admirals. It's recommended to do one of the great self-paced audio tours. Please be mindful that photography is prohibited throughout and that a worthy but highly admission fee will be charged (20 GBP in July 2018)

Not to be confused with Westminster Abbey, the Westminster Cathedral in Victoria is London's only example of neo-Byzantine architecture, described by the poet John Betjeman as a "masterpiece" of craftsmanship and the last great building to be made of brick. Interesting fact: It's the only church in England to have had visits from two Popes and the Queen

Very often incorrectly called London Bridge (which is another bridge) is rightfully a must see on a (first) London trip. The looks and feel of it are truly unique. There is also a paid option, where you can climb up the stairs (or take the lift) and enjoy the view and get more background on the origins and use of the bridge ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Parks & Nature

The park is famous for its pelicans and its flower beds at the front of Buckingham Palace and serves for state visits and other ceremonial occasions. There are some great photo moments around the lake and fountain. Interesting facts: •Pelicans have lived in St James’s Park for nearly 400 years. They were originally presented as a gift from the Russian Ambassador to King Charles II. •St James’s Park is one of London’s eight Royal Parks and covers an area of nearly 57 acres.
