Something truly unique in the area. A higher end meal spot. Great for a dinner date with your special someone. Get a chance to eat in an old converted rail car!

They also have a small gift shop if you would like to take some home with you. They also have an outdoor bar area if you would like to take in the fresh air while taking a sip of a freshly brewed beer. The food is American Fare; burgers, wings, steak, fish, pasta, BBQ, etc. It does get busy but since it is a larger place you wont have to wait too long for a table in the summer due to outdoor seating options. Winter will be busy for Apres Ski from Loon so plan accordingly. They also have live music on the weekends in the evening.

A fantastic option for date night. Amazing staff, great food, and good warm feel to the restaurant. If you go for lunch you will need to order from the counter and seat yourself but for dinner they do have full table service.

Less than a mile steep hike up the trail you get an AMAZING view of Squam Lake from the top of EAST Rattlesnake Mtn. 100% worth it and kids 7+ can make the hike no problem. Address is wrong here so you can find the Tailhead off of Pine Hurst Road. Make sure you take a left at the fork in the trail to avoid the 5-Fingers route.

This is an intermediate trail that would progress up the Cascade Brook that eventually takes you to Lonesome Lake which you can go swimming or just take in the beauty of an isolated lake on the top of a plateau as you approach the peak of the mountain. Lonesome Lake is only accessible by hiking so it's peaceful and stunning once you make it there. Doing this hike will make you fall in love with the White Mountain region, at least it did for me.

This is an intermediate trail that would progress up the Cascade Brook that eventually takes you to Lonesome Lake which you can go swimming or just take in the beauty of an isolated lake on the top of a plateau as you approach the peak of the mountain. Lonesome Lake is only accessible by hiking so it's peaceful and stunning once you make it there. Doing this hike will make you fall in love with the White Mountain region, at least it did for me.
Accessed by a few trails (such as the Basin Cascade Trail), this would be the highlight of any trip to the region. This would only be truly appreciated in the spring, summer, and fall as I am not sure if you would be able to get to this spot safely in the winter.

It's our local ski area. Really small but great for beginners. Has a slow moving chair lift and only natural snow so no snowmaking. There is a grooming machine. Main attraction is the ski lodge with great drinks and food. Lift ticket for the day is only $20 and there is night sking. They have no rental shop so you need to bring your own skis. Ski lodge has live music on Saturdays.
