The church just celebrated it's 1000th birthday!
The view on Florence is even better than from Piazza Michelangelo. The church is just spectacular. The ornaments are inspiring (at least for me).

You can go down to the Arno river to catch the sunset, sunbathe, enjoy your drinks (if you promise me to take your trash away with you, please), or finish your ice cream from gelateria della Carraia (if you promise me to take that green plastic spoon they give you, back home, not into the river)

Good for jogging, running, walking. At Wednesdays there is enormous market of used and new stuff.
Not a lot of tourists.
