Mainstrasse Village is the German village around which Covington grew up. It has everything from your hole in the wall bars and restaurants, to shops with rare finds. It is a hispters' paradise, with prices cheaper than you find across the river.

This is a relatively new casino located in downtown. Home to some great restaurants and close to other nightlife. Definitely a great place to start your Saturday night!

AMC is the movie theater with all of the latest releases. In addition to the movies, Newport on the Levee has great restaurants, bars, a bowling alley, shopping, the aquarium and is located on riverfront property providing spectacular views. Here is the Purple People Bridge which allows you to walk to Cincinnati.

Here is the Purple People Bridge which allows you to walk to Cincinnati.
Essentials
This is an older Kroger with some limited offerings, but it is within walking distance. If you have your own vehicle and are particularly health conscious or appreciate more variety, then I would recommend the Newport Kroger.

Parks & Nature
This is a bit of a trek from my home, but totally worth it. You can catch a bus, participate in the bike sharing program that Cincinnati has (ask for details) or drive yourself via your rental. The views are some of the best in the city.

Everything Else
OTR, or Over the Rhine, is another historic German immigrant neighborhood in the area. It's a better foodie scene than what we have on our side. Brunch to tapas you can find here. There are small museums, guided tours, some shopping and plenty of activities for you to do here all hours of the day.
