It also has many restaurants, bars etc. Hobbs fish shop next to St Mary's church is a must, as is Hambleton Bakery just round the corner. You can see his work in our church and cathedrals around the world.

This is right next door to Whiteways; home to Cricket, Tennis, Football. Visit just for a drink or an Ice Cream while the weather lasts. Sitting outside the Clubhouse looking towards the village remains one of the best places to appreciate how lucky we are to live or stay in Medbourne.
The Clubhouse is normally open when Sport is being played and always on Thursdays from 5pm, Fridays from 6pm and Sundays from 12 midday until 3pm. The bar prices will certainly not disappoint.

This is our village pub and restaurant, It had extensive refurb in 2022 Dog friendly. On Monday evenings the Nevill does a set two course meal for lower set rate. Beautiful pub , prices have got somewhat steep since refurb! In the rear courtyard they now have an open kitchen and grill and extensive seating area, serving BBQ etc. and also does breakfasts! Great to visit.

Strangely, the man in our village next to where we used to live ( Frazier Gilbert) was given the amazing privilege of being in charge of the funeral procession. he was a funeral director and carpenter that fixed our windows and lots of other things. Truely lovely, lovely man.
A close friend of ours did the original dig, that found his body in a car park in Leicester. We feel so touched to be close to people that have been involved.

Just amazing, 7 kings of England have slept there, you can see countless counties from the gardens. Used for wedding venue. Ask to see the hunting picture with no feet ( that's what I said...) Have interesting juxtaposition of very old and modern pictures. Have very weird opening times that seem to be designed to keep you away!. They hold various events throughout the year so always worth keeping an eye on. It is 4 miles away and has been in the same family for 1000 years! My horse Udo lived out his days here being spoilt rotten.
