Blackwater Falls is a bit of a drive, but while you're in the area you can also visit Thomas WV and Davis WV. Thomas has the famous Purple Fiddle with food and great music almost every day and night. Free afternoon concerts. Lots of cool shops with a gallery housed in an old school. Davis has restaurants and unique shops.

This is the one of the best, if not the best restaurant in the Deep Creek Area. A bit pricey but the food is very good or you can order from the sandwich menu in the bar. There is also a great outdoor seating area and bar overlooking the lake.
