Cheap eats. 5 minute walk from the studio. They specialize in Mexican style seafood dishes with shrimp, fish tacos, fish fillets, ceviche, etc. You can also get American style breakfast with pancakes, eggs and hash browns in the morning. They serve beer and have comfortable booths.

Great urban hike. It's about a mile walk from the studio to the "North" entrance. Or take the DASH bus on Eastern Ave to the "South" entrance. Rollings hills and clear views of DTLA.

Huge park about 10 minute drive from the studio. Huge picnic area and lots of hiking trails. At the top there ar e great views of DTLA and the San Gabriel mountains.

What we'd call an 'old man' bar back in the days. Low lighting, cheap drinks and live music on the weekend. The food is decent too. The Nachos are a favorite. Less than $10 Lyft or Uber ride from the studio.
